楳図かずおの予言

人類ゼロの未来というテレビを見た。
地球上から人間のみがいなくなったとして、その先がどうなるのかをシュミレーションしてゆくという番組。
最強の「ヒト」がゼロになると生態系に異常をきたし、ピラミッドの頂点も入れ替わってくるとされ、それぞれの生物が生活をしやすいようにその外観も進化してゆくという。
泳ぎの上手い鳥が次第に餌の多い水中を住みかとし、羽根がひれに、哺乳類の背中の毛は堅い甲羅にかわる。などと、見ているうちに楳図かずおの「漂流教室」を思い出した。
「漂流教室」、説明するまでもないと思うが、空腹であやしいキノコを食べた友達が4本足で甲羅のある生物になってしまったり、だんご虫が巨大化したような動物が出てきたりする。
テレビと似ているところが多々あって、楳図かずおはある程度未来を予測していたのかしらなんて思いながら見ていた。
街は砂漠化して、生き残る生物もほんの一握り、てなことは凡人にも容易に想像出来ることかもしれないけれど、40年前に細かいところまで描いていたのでさすが！と思った。
「漂流教室」ではタイムスリップした小学生達が、知恵を武器に地球を再び住みよい所にしてゆくと想像させて終わるラストだったが、実際は人類が全て滅びると、もう人間ほど優れた知恵のある動物は再び出てこないようだ。
残念ながら……

    漂流教室、私も大好きです。
    先日もやっぱ手元に置いておきたくて
    古本屋を探しまわってました。

    この先、地球はどうなるんやろうか・・・

    わたしの胃も小さく変化したらいいのに。

    私は漂流教室全巻もってたんや。
    知り合いに貸したらその人がそのまま転勤になってしまったんや(;_;)
    ちょっと恨むわ[パンチ]

  4. 漂流教室は最初読んで訳がわからなくなって途中で
    断念しました。でも、なんか実際に起こると怖いですねぇ。
    読むとすれば漫画喫茶にあるかもしれません。

    映画でもドラマでもやったけれど、漂流教室はやっぱりマンガで読まないと(^_^)
    わたくしも古本屋で見つけて購入したのに、貸したらやみに葬られてほんま殺意的なものがわくわ●〜
    古すぎてマンガ喫茶にもあるかな？

    私の妹が関西に嫁いでるんやけど、楳図かずおも子供の頃関西にすんでいたらしくて、マンガに出てくる生徒には実在の子供達もおるみたいや。
    楳図と年の頃が近いとすれば今となっては子供じゃないけど……
